A Chilled Ride on Home trails

After a hectic day taking photographs at Boomtown Fair, me and Josh Morris (@professorthuglife) dragged our tired legs into the woods to session my old stomping ground.

At the time of writing this blog the Boomtown pictures wouldn't have been finished so you'll just have to be patient and wait for my client to give the go ahead on the final images - really pleased with how they're looking so far though! Aside from being the biggest project in my photography career so far, Boomtown was also the longest and most tiring day of taking photos that I've done so far, so me and Josh settled on a chilled ride on my home trails to a pub before he headed back up north.
The trails close to my home are more like footpaths than bike trails but if you know where to look, there's still some fun to be had. Yes, there are more exciting trails not too far away such as Swinley forest, Rogate DH and Aston hill, but after a long day of hiking around a festival with heavy bags, hitting a few loamy corners on the way to a pub sounded much better.
I had an Olympus Pro lens on rent for the Boomtown shoot but still had it for the weekend so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to grab few shots of Josh getting sideways on the way.
I'm actually really impressed with how the photos turned out. I've never taken photos of these trails before but I think the camera makes them look deceptively good, probably because you don't realise it's only a 10 second long trail in total, not just a section.
All in all, it was a rad little day on the trails and well worth getting my sore legs spinning for a bit.
