I headed to the Land Rover Owner International show at the East of England showground in Peterborough to check out the action.

Yes this car is stuck but the big winch on the front soon pulled them out of trouble

As some people might know already, a little while back my Dad bought a Series 3 Land Rover (more like bits of) to restore and unsurprisingly he now spends a lot of time working on it. So this was more of a trip for my Dad to look around the stalls to buy bits and bobs for the landie as well as getting some inspiration for his build.

Lacking the time and money to have my own Land Rover, I didn't have a huge interest walking around the stalls so instead I took my camera to watch the action going on in the arena. It was my first time photographing cars and I don't think it'll be my last, I enjoyed challenging myself by applying my skills to a new sport. Plus who doesn't love these mini monster trucks that can drive up and over pretty much anything, the 8 year old in me thought they were the coolest.

Nailing the pan shots were particularly hard for me on this occasion, although I have a reasonably high success rate when doing this with mountain bikes but through some trial and error I managed to get the shots more consistently.

Whilst I was at the shoe I also stopped to capture the cars parading around the venue or just sitting pretty.

That's it for my coverage of the 2018 Land Rover Owner International Show, all round great day out and I'll be sure to head to more of these events in the future, hopefully I'll be able to go round the off road course next time.
